Generally, most law schools have a strong admission policy that ensures that only those applicants who meet pre-legal education requirements are admitted. When in doubt, some of the schools contact the State Bar of California and request an evaluation of a prospective student s pre-legal education to determine their eligibility for the program.

Graduation from a California law school will make you eligible to sit for the California State Bar Exam. Once you pass the bar exam in California, law school graduates can work in federal courts in any state.
