What do they mean? Glad you asked. Harvard Law School, Yale Law School, and Stanford Law School have occupied the top three spots for over a decade. Together, they are called HYS . The next three spots are perennial filled by the CCN schools: Columbia Law School, Chicago Law School, and NYU Law School. T14 refers to the top 14 law schools. They are a very consistent group with only small ranking changes over the years - typically schools move within the T14 rather than outside the T14. The only school to move into the T14 in the chart is U of T Austin, when it tied for 14th with Georgetown in 2011, before moving back out of the T14 in 2012. The T14 schools are:
