An online MBA program offers the ultimate flexibility. Students can generally complete course work on their own schedule and still maintain a full-time job and other commitments. Most of the top online MBA programs are taught by the same faculty using the same curriculum as their face-to-face counterparts.

If you re going to stay generally on your same career path, the online MBA programs work pretty well, Dan Smith, former dean of the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University Bloomington, told U.S. News. Some [people] are oftentimes looking to move ahead with their current company or stay within that industry, as opposed to making a radical career change.

Interacting and networking with other students is a vital part of an online MBA program. Team projects, discussion boards, email ... Read more »

#Amp - re s Circuital Law

In other words, the line integral of the magnetic field around some circular loop , centred on a current carrying wire, and in the plane perpendicular to the wire, is equal to times the current flowing in the wire. Note that this answer is independent of the radius of the loop: i.e.. the same result is obtained by taking the line integral around any circular loop centred on the wire.

In 1826, Amp re demonstrated that Eq. (177 ) holds for any closed loop which circles around any distribution of currents. Thus, Amp re's circuital law can be written: The line integral of the magnetic field around some closed loop is equal to the times the algebraic sum of the currents which pass through the loop. In forming the algebraic sum of the currents passing through the loop, those currents which the loop circles in ... Read more »

#Things you missed about Indiana s religion law.

Story highlights

(CNN) By now, you probably have a position regarding the controversy over Indiana's religious freedom law.

You applaud the growing chorus of companies blasting the law as an invitation for businesses to discriminate against gays and lesbians, using religion as a cover.

Or, like Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, you are surprised at the backlash and maintain that it is basically a copy of a law that is already in the books at the federal level and 19 other states.

The issue drives a wedge because, well, the debate over religious freedom and gay rights is always heated, but also because the interpretations and motives behind the law can be questioned.

Whichever side you're on, here are five things you might not have considered when thinking about this controversy. These points might not change your mind, but offer context to better understand the uproar.

    #The World’s Best: Five Top EMBA Programs Compared

    The business education landscape is dynamic and ever-changing at all levels. New EMBA programs are constantly emerging, while established programs change their focus to cater to the demands of industry and candidates.

    However, this continually developing landscape can provide a challenge to the ambitious prospective EMBA candidate. Which program(s) to consider? How do programs differentiate themselves? And, perhaps most importantly, which programs have a curriculum that will remain relevant in changing economic times?

    Executive MBA rankings are perhaps one of the most obvious means of narrowing down program choices, allowing for a comparison of programs over a set of established indicators. The recently-released (December 2014) Financial Times is one of the most-trusted.

    So how do the top-five schools in the rankings actually compare?

    #Tinted Windows

    Tinted Windows

    Before you decide to tint the windows of your vehicle, ensure that you are aware of the restrictions that apply.

    • No material substance that darkens the glass may be applied or sprayed on the windshield. A strip no more than 15 cm wide may however be placed along the upper edge of the windshield;
    • Windows on either side of the driver must let in at least 70% of light when measured with a photometer.

    Remember, the inside of a vehicle and its occupants must be able to be identified. Deeply tinted windows:

    • reduce a driver's field of vision;
    • make it difficult to see contrasts;
    • affect a driver's night vision.

    The above tinting restrictions do not apply to the rear side windows or the rear window itself.

    Fines

    If the front side windows of your vehicle let in less than 70% of light, you are liable to a fine. Here are two examples:

    #The World - s 10 Worst Anti-Women Laws: How Do These Still Exist?

    13:47 15 Jul 2015 | Francesca Rice, Corinne Redfern

    Nine Sudanese women have been sentenced to 40 lashes - each - all because they wore trousers. They're aged between 17 and 23 and are being tried under Sharia (or Islamic) law - even though they're Christians. And while wearing trousers is normal for Christian women in the country, it falls under 'indecent dress' for the Muslim population.

    But as human rights activists campaign for the women's freedom, it's not the only law that discriminates between the sexes.

    It's been 20 years since 189 countries agreed to a plan to advance women's rights and achieve gender equality. It was called the Beijing Platform for Action, and the states involved committed to "revoke any remaining laws that discriminate on the basis of sex".

    Sadly, two decades later, this goal has still not been reached. Some progress has been made – more than half ... Read more »

    #Top 54 Complaints and Reviews about South University

    Consumer Complaints Reviews

    Very misleading. I was a young single mother, made very little money and when I looked into this school, they really sugar coated a lot. I did not realize the amount of debt I would inherit after graduation and only receiving an AA degree. I took one class at a time as I worked full time and raised my daughter. I attended school from January 2009 and finally finished my AA December 2014. I borrowed $38K and now I owe over $64K. That is almost double.

    How can this be? I cry thinking that now I could NEVER help my daughter when she goes to college, that I still can not even get a decent paying job with an AA and can't afford to go back for my BA. The school wasn't what I imagined a college experience should be. They kept changing counselors, I was withdrawn by mistake and at times it was a nightmare. They gave me classes I didn't need or told me I didn't need classes I actually needed. ... Read more »

    #Three Strikes Basics

    Three Strikes Basics

    In 1994, California voters enacted the Three Strikes and You re Out law in response to the tragic murders of Kimber Reynolds and Polly Klass. The law imposed a life sentence for almost any crime, no matter how minor, if the defendant had two prior convictions for crimes defined as serious or violent by the California Penal Code.

    According to official ballot materials promoting the original Three Strikes law, the sentencing scheme was intended to keep murders, rapists, and child molesters behind bars, where they belong. However, today, more than half of inmates sentenced under the law are serving sentences for nonviolent crimes.

    The Three Strikes Project exclusively represents these individuals. Project clients have been given life sentences for offenses including stealing one dollar in loose change from a parked car, possessing less than a gram of narcotics, and attempting to break into a soup kitchen.
