In order to earn a Juris Doctor degree, a Loyola Law student must earn 87 credit hours; in addition to the first-year curriculum below, degree candidates must also complete an upper-level writing requirement, Constitutional Law II, Ethical Lawyering, Evidence, and a breadth course. The required first-year curriculum includes Contracts, Criminal Law, Property, Torts, Civil Procedure, Constitutional Law, and Legal Research and Writing. In addition to the LL.M. program in Bologna, Loyola Law also offers several summer study abroad opportunities in Costa Rica, China, Italy, and London.
