The Associate of Technical Study in Allied Health Management Technology is a completer program for students who have completed a state-certified allied health program and hold an accredited certificate. This flexible program enables students with an allied health certificate and health care experience to develop the skills necessary for upward mobility. Graduates are prepared to work in a variety of health care settings as administrative and supervisory personnel.

Developed specifically for RNs with a diploma or associate degree, the KSU online RN to BSN program allows RNs the opportunity to earn a bachelor s degree in an accelerated online format from one of the nation s largest regional universities. KSU s RN to BSN program is available in both part-time and full-time formats and can be completed in less than two years.

The Bachelor of Technical and Applied Studies degree is offered through the Regional College. It is designed for students who are beginning their academic study or for students who hold an associate degree or have completed some college-level coursework; the program will accommodate varied educational backgrounds, develop competencies needed for success in a variety of work settings and offer major courses in schedules attractive to traditional students and to time- and place-bound adults.

Students may declare one of the nine optional concentrations within the Technical and Applied Studies major listed below, or select the major without a concentration.

  • Applied Business Concentration
  • Computer Technology Application Development Concentration
  • Computer Technology Applied Computer Security and Forensics Technology Concentration
  • Computer Technology General Concentration
  • Computer Technology Internet/Multimedia Concentration
  • Computer Technology Networking Concentration

The Associate of Applied Business in Computer Technology provides students with a core consisting of programming, operating systems and networks, Web site development and workgroup productivity technologies. Students may choose from concentrations in specific areas including applications development, Internet/multimedia, and network technologies. These concentrations allow students to focus their studies and begin to prepare for various professional certifications. There is also a general concentration that prepares students for positions in small- and medium-sized organizations that require computer staff to perform a wide variety of technical duties. In addition, the concentrations may articulate fully or in part with concentrations in the Bachelor of Technical and Applied studies and available certificates in computer forensics and information security, and advanced Internet; please contact an advisor for more information.
