The Fletcher School s keystone degree program, the Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy (MALD), enrolls over 180 of the top students from more than 80 countries. The interdisciplinary approach to the curriculum - drawing from the school s three divisions - ensures that each student gains a breadth of knowledge in international affairs. Students gain depth of knowledge through two fields of study in functional and regional concentrations. Child Support Amounts

A child support order tells the parents what they must do to support their children. Enforcing child support orders means getting the parent to do what the order says.

The amount of child support is based on guidelines defined in Florida law. Child support guidelines are standards used to figure out the support needed for a child and the amount a parent has to pay. Guidelines help make sure support amounts are fair. Every state has guidelines, but they may be different in each state.

These guidelines are used the first time child support is ordered and every time the child support amount changes. They are also used to review the order to see if the support amount should be changed.

What is Trespassing (Penal Code § 602)?

Trespass means many things to many people. To one person, it means walking into an area posted with signs that state, No Trespassing. To others, it means walking into a business, loitering for a long time and then leaving without making a purchase. To others, it may be a homeless person living for several days, or even weeks, at an empty foreclosed upon house without permission.

These ideas are all correct to some degree. Under California Penal Code § 602, trespass is defined as willfully entering another person s property with the specific intent to interfere with that person s property rights. Willfully means on purpose or deliberately. Specific intent means that one intends to not only do something, but that one intends the consequence of the act, i.e. loitering in a business with the consequence of interfering with that location s business.

In Illinois an employer is required to provide 60 days’ notice to the employee, representatives of the employee, the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity and the chief elected official of each municipal and county government within which the employment loss, relocation, or mass layoff occurs.  However, employer is not required to provide notice if the employment loss, relocation or mass lay off is due to natural calamity or an act of terrorism or war.  Illinois WARN Act applies to employers who employ 75 or more full time employees or 75 or more employees who work at least a combined 4,000 hours per week (exclusive of overtime).
