The Hon. Jed S. Rakoff, United States District Judge on senior status for the Southern District of New York (SDNY), gives the keynote address at VJCL s February 2015 Symposium on The Future of Sentencing

The Virginia Journal of Criminal Law (VJCL) is one of ten student-run publications of the University of Virginia School of Law. The journal was founded in 2010 by Ashley Wilkinson and Margaret Cullum. two students at the law school. The creation of the journal was made possible in part by a generous donation from the Cullum family. The journal began publication in 2012 and now publishes twice annually, in the Spring and the Summer. VJCL publishes scholarly articles on criminal law and procedure, and accepts submissions of articles, essays, book reviews, and notes discussing criminal law topics. VJCL also sponsors legal symposia and conferences on criminal law issues, and hosts criminal law related events for students.
