Lexington Law Reviews | Glassdoor

I happened to move up fairly quickly, I worked in all the departments except the Email Team and Mail Room. I ended up working closely with the attorneys and also managing a team of paralegals. I learned a lot about consumer credit laws and credit repair. I learned a lot from working with the attorneys.

Lexington Law has helped me with my own credit woes as well as many other people.

Cons

They have a very old school and cheap way of running a business, without any care for the employees or even their clients. The departments are very disconnected, leading to many issues and wasted time. Low wages, with many empty promises of increased wages or opportunity.

The executives are very short-sighted and only care about making it appear as though profit margins are consistently increasing for reasons I cannot disclose. One of the easiest and cheapest ways to do this is to cut back benefits, leave wages stagnant or only invest in acquiring more clients while minimizing the amount spent on providing any decent service to the client. The way they deal with increased workload is by squeezing more and more out of the same employees.

A lot more is put into the telemarketing and sales side (PGX) than the client services side (which is essentially the main service they are selling), the two sides are separated and do not communicate. This means there are sales people who do not know the service they are selling and are incentivized to trick people into signing up. Many clients then feel that they had been scammed or were made false promises.

A lot of misinformation on their call floor, it seems they will hire basically anyone to answer phones which makes the job harder for others working in other departments or management. Many people working here are very unprofessional, because Lexington Law doesn't offer a competitive starting wage they aren't getting the brightest individuals in the door.

They wonder why they have such a low retention rate with clients, their model is horrible. They start with such low wages that they can't get anyone decent in the door to start out. It seems the executives are very shortsighted and don't care. If the FTC cracked down on what was happening on that floor the whole thing would come crashing down.

The way they wanted us to basically babysit the paralegals on the floor with strict schedule adherence and point system seemed very old school and demeaning to the paralegals. No one worthwhile wants to work in this type of environment.

Advice to Management

Because of the lack of wage incentives, the management will come up with silly childish games where you win prizes that only a 7 year old could be excited about. I'm not a child so don't treat me like one, it's demeaning and ridiculous it makes this job seem like a complete joke.
