Credential Awarded: Ontario College Diploma As a student, you'll train to become a law clerk, assisting lawyers in private law offices and in the law departments of government and industry. You'll acquire an understanding of the general principles of law and receive specific training in the skills appropriate for law clerks. You will use your well-developed literacy skills in every course as you interpret detailed instructions, both verbal and written, and prepare a variety of legal documents and letters. Your fluency in English is critical for your success and there is a high focus on communicating effectively from the beginning of your program to graduation. Areas of concentration include Real Estate, Corporate and Commercial Law and Litigation. Meet all the necessary academic requirements and you will have the opportunity to participate in an unpaid field placement. This provides you with practical work experience and exposure to potential employers. With the support and assistance of the School's faculty and staff, you will play an active role in securing your placement.
