Robert J. Grey, Jr. former president of the American Bar Association, will give the School of Law's May 2015 Commencement address. Grey is a partner with the D.C.-area law firm of Hunton Williams and is executive director of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity. Learn more
  • Miller helped create "Serial" podcast spin-off, "Undisclosed" Prof. Colin Miller is one of the principal players behind a new podcast, "Undisclosed: The State v. Adnan Syed," that has been called a spin-off of the immensely popular public radio podcast "Serial."   • 2015 Awards Day winners announced On Tuesday, April 7, the School of Law community recognized outstanding achievement by students, faculty, and staff during its annual Awards Day ceremony held at the law school. During the ceremony, 40 different awards were presented. See Who Won
  • Moot court team wins 2015 Sutherland Cup Three University of South Carolina School of Law Moot Court members won the nation's oldest, private moot competition: the 2015 Sutherland Cup Constitutional Law Moot Court Competition. Congratulations to third-year students Stephen Bowden, Charles Rudnick, and Lawson Cheek on bringing home the Sutherland Cup. Learn more
  • ABA Real Property Journal to publish 50th volume The ABA Real Property, Trust Estate Law Journal. which boasts the nation's second largest circulation for a scholarly legal journal, publishes its 50th volume this spring. It also celebrates 25 years of calling the University of South Carolina School of Law its home. Learn more
  • Second-year student Ben Welch published in Tennessee Bar Journal Ben Welch, a second-year student, co-authored an article in the February 2015 issue of the Tennessee Bar Journal which questions why the clear and convincing standard is the burden of proof in establishing an implied partnership in Tennessee.   • Lindsay Wilburn named editor-in-chief of ABA Real Property, Trust Estate Law Journal Lindsay Wilburn, a second-year student, has been named editor-in-chief of the student editorial board for the ABA Real Property, Trust & Estate Law Journal. The Journal is an official publication of the American Bar Association, and is a unique collaboration between a student editorial board and a professional editorial board. Learn more
  • Rosanne Sullivan named editor-in-chief of Journal of Law and Education Rosanne R.G. Sullivan, a second-year student from Columbia, added to her many law school achievements when she was named editor-in-chief of the Journal of Law and Education. She also serves as a Student Bar Association representative, vice justice of Phi Alpha Delta Legal Fraternity, and chair of the Ambassadors Program. Sullivan is a member of Phi Delta Phi Legal Honor Society and is a recipient of the Justice Dewey Oxner Scholarship. Learn more
