#Master of Laws (LL. M. ) in International Crime and Justice The call for applications for the 2015-16 edition of the LL.M. is now open LL.M. OverviewThe Master of Laws (LL.M.) in International Crime and Justice is jointly organized by the United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute (UNICRI) and the Department of Law at the University of Turin (UNITO). The programme, which is taught in English, is designed for those who seek a deeper understanding of international criminal law and crime prevention instruments, as well as an increased knowledge of the role and function of international organizations and tribunals operating in this area. Scientific Committee Appeals Judge and Former President, International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia President, International Institute of Humanitarian Law Through a combination of academic training and practical exercises, the LL.M. provides students with an in-depth knowledge on the theoretical and practical aspects of international instruments for the prevention and punishment of international and transnational crimes such as war crimes, crimes against humanity, organized crime and terrorism. The lecturers of the programme (i.e. internationally recognized experts, practitioners and members of the academia) will also guide students in up-to-date critical analysis of specific legal aspects of international jurisdictions. Furthermore, the programme offers unique insights into the activities and policies of the United Nations, international criminal tribunals, special courts and other international organizations, providing students with the expertise required for operating in the area of international crime and justice. The residential phase of the LL.M. is held in an unparalleled setting at the United Nations Campus in Turin, Italy. The Campus is located on 10 hectares of riverside parkland and hosts other national and international organizations such as the ITC-ILO and UNSSC. It holds annually more than 450 programmes and projects involving approximately 11,000 people from over 180 countries and also offers leisure time, dining, and sports facilities to its guests.
