Within Canterbury Christ Church we have an excellent Career Development service, which works with the Law Programmes to provide a comprehensive package of support and guidance designed specifically for our students. We understand the huge commitment you are making by studying with us and we will do everything we can to develop the skills employers tell us they need. We are very much an applied Law School teaching both theoretical and practical approaches to law. What will I study?Law with. at Canterbury Christ Church University is original and innovative because it not only combines the essential teaching you need for a Qualifying Law Degree, but also the ability to combine your LLB with an entirely different discipline making up one third of your programme every year. In Year 1, for example, the basics of Criminal Law, the English Legal System, Contract Law and Constitutional Law are taught as part of your law degree plus a further 2 modules from your with. discipline, whether Business, Criminology or any of the other combinations listed on the left. In Year 2, Property Law, Torts and Administrative Law are core modules alongside 2 modules from your with discipline. In addition, you will have the option to choose 1 elective module from Corporate Law, Race and the Law, Law and Religion, and Internet and the Law, for example. In Year 3, normal law teaching includes European Law and Equity and Trusts. You will take a further 2 modules from your with. discipline alongside 2 elective modules typically chosen from International Law, Employment Law, International Human Rights, Civil and Commercial Mediation, Family Law and Intellectual Property Law.
