Getting Started

You may qualify for the Fast Track in Finance by meeting two requirements:

Waive out of the Financial Accounting core course, ACC 502.

You can do this in one of two ways:

  1. If you have a background in accounting and meet the detailed guidelines. you can submit a Core Course Waiver Request Form by June 1, 2015.
  2. Or, you can register for and successfully complete the Accounting Waiver Preparatory Course. This course will be held August 6-12, 2015. Registration will open in April, 2015; the deadline to register is July 10.

Admission to the Fast Track in Finance program is highly selective and not everyone who applies will be admitted. Performance in the summer online program and the accounting waiver process, in addition to your previous academic credentials and work-related experience, will be used to judge your fit for the program. Students admitted to the Fast Track in Finance program will receive permission to enroll into FIN 513 - the gateway course of the program - in mid-August, 2015.
