Doctor of Nursing Practice

Duke's Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program accommodates both distance-based learners as well as working advanced practice nurses looking for a practical and convenient alternative to typical on-campus degree programs. The curriculum includes a comprehensive 3-day on-campus orientation where you’ll meet your fellow students and establish ongoing contact with faculty mentors. All academic courses in the DNP degree program are offered using distance-based technology and are also structured to include executive on-campus sessions (2-3 days per session; October, February, June, October).

Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)

• All MSN core courses are offered online at least one semester per year. These courses do not require students to come to campus.
• Specialty courses within some MSN programs are typically taught using distance-based methods, where the majority of content is delivered via distance technology. Students come to campus once or twice during the semester to meet as a group.
