#Free Consultations: Here’s What You Should Know

We always say that we offer “free consultations,” but what does that really mean, and how can you best prepare for those meetings?

The biggest concern we often hear from people we meet with is that they’re afraid we will pressure them into filing a lawsuit that they aren’t certain they want to file. We want to assure you that our consultations are laid back, casual, and come with absolutely zero pressure.

It is our goal to provide you with the information you need, evaluate as many details you can bring us about your case, and help you get a better understanding of your option. At no point will we attempt to persuade you, coerce you, or force you into signing or filing something you don’t want to do. If you choose not to move forward with your lawsuit, or you choose to file with a different attorney, we will harbor no hard feelings towards you and we wish you the best on your road to recovery!

If you do choose to file with us, we will walk with you hand-in-hand through the entire process, and we also won’t collect any payment from you until after we’ve gotten you compensation for your injury or illness.

How To Prepare

So you think you want to file a lawsuit based on the injury or illness you’ve incurred? We think your interest in the subject is a wise pursuit, and we want to help you evaluate your case and understand all of your options. Here’s what we recommend you do BEFORE you come in to meet with us for your free consultation:

  • Keep a record: Once the incident occurred, do everything you can to document all the details of your case. When, where, and how you were harmed, any correspondence that occurred after the incident, and names of anyone else who might have details involving your injury or illness.
  • Documentation: Keep track of every piece of paper (hard copies and digital) relating to your case. Medical records, bills, statements, etc. Bring them in for us to look over. These documents can help determine the “value” of your case.
  • Think of all your questions in advance: We can’t tell you how often we get phone calls from potential clients saying “oh, I forgot to ask you…” As you think of a question, write it down. Don’t be afraid to ask us anything, no matter how silly or insignificant you think it may sound. We want you fully informed, and we want you to ask your questions freely. We also don’t want you to forget to ask us anything!
  • Don’t hesitate: There is a statute of limitations on all kinds of injury, illness, and accident cases in the state of Indiana. The longer you wait, the less chance you’ll have of securing the compensation you deserve.

The most important thing we can tell you to wrap this up: Don’t keep secrets from us!

We cannot emphasize this enough. We are bound to you by attorney/client privilege, which means anything you share with us does not get shared with anyone else. Period. Trust us with the truth about your case, and we will do the best job we are capable of to secure your compensation. This also means don’t leave any details out. Even if you think they’re insignificant, sometimes the tiniest details are the most important. Let us decide if it’s noteworthy or not, just go ahead and tell us.

Taking Our Time

We value your time, and we won’t keep you in a consultation any longer than you want to stay, but we also won’t rush you through and make you feel like another item on a conveyor belt.

Our clients are our NUMBER 1 priority, and we promise to make you feel heard and well cared for.

Don’t believe this kind of treatment is possible from an attorney? We dare you to give us a chance! Call us today at 888-710-9377 to schedule your free consultation and get yourself on the road to physical and financial healing.
