#Student Services - Santa Clara Law At Santa Clara Law, the Dean of Students, also known as the Senior Assistant Dean for Student Services, is available to assist students in a number of ways. These include, but are not limited to academic advising and counseling. The Dean of Students maintains a liaison with student organizations, oversees orientation and commencement, and is responsible for enforcing school policies and the Student Conduct Code. Academic Counseling Each spring the law school publishes an Academic Advising guide that highlights graduation requirements, various academic rules, and gives valuable information about course planning and special opportunities such as internships, clinics, and certificate programs. Several academic advising sessions are held to go over this basic information. Be sure to look for the session announcements in the Grapevine. Students are always welcome to meet individually with the Dean of Students to discuss the academic program. Personal Counseling The Dean of Students is always available to assist students with personal issues in a confidential and safe environment. Students should come in to discuss matters affecting them before they become major issues. The Dean of Students will help resolve problems directly when possible. If the matter relates to other departments or requires further professional assistance, she will make appropriate referrals. The Student Services manages registration activities, maintains student academic records, and provides a wide range of student services. Contact this office for information about:
