You have navigated to this page through: The Juris Doctor is UWA s leading postgraduate law degree for aspiring lawyers and legal practitioners. The three year full time law degree is accredited by the Legal Practice Board of Western Australia and equips students with the knowledge and skills to pursue a career in law. What you ll be studying The structured program includes the nationally recognised core legal subjects (the 'Priestly 11' which include Torts, Criminal Law and Procedure, Property, Equity, Company Law, Administrative Law, Federal and State Constitutional Law, Civil Procedure, Evidence and Ethics and Professional Responsibility). Students will also have the opportunity to pursue broaden their legal knowledge or pursue particular areas of interest via a range of option units. The student cohort The student cohort consists of mature minded postgraduate students who have successfully achieved an undergraduate degree the domestic student entry requirements include a GPA 5.5+. International students are required to achieve an IELTS score of 7.5+ as well as a recognised undergraduate degree with a strong GPA to gain entry.
