Course Offerings

To view our course catalog online, with course descriptions, number of credits and faculty names, visit the course information and schedule catalog database .

This searchable schedule includes course descriptions, faculty, meeting times, and room assignments. You may search by term, school, keyword, and subject code. Click on the course title to view links to syllabi, course evaluations, and textbook information, if available.

Select a term in the drop down menu, select Law as the department, and choose open or all courses. You may also search by day of the week, time, title or professor.

Current students may also search for courses through Agora (see below).

Registering for Courses

Boston College web services are offered through Agora, the online community restricted to students, faculty and staff. Once you have logged into Agora (top right, BC username and password) you will see the following options (among others) in the my services menu:

• Register for Courses
• Course Offering Schedule

Please note that you will need course numbers and index numbers to register. First, choose Course Offering Schedule from the menu to get course and index numbers and course schedules. From the select a school dropdown menu, select Law School. You can then set the search criteria for Fall or Spring term, day of the week, title keywords and/or instructor's last name.

Once you have received the list of courses from the database, click on the linked course numbers on the left to receive a detailed course description. As you choose the courses for which you would like to register, please keep in mind that some courses may have limited enrollment. It is a good idea to keep a list of second and third choices, in case you are unable to register for your first choice. Make sure to write down all the course and index numbers for the courses you choose.

Return to the Agora login page and choose Register for Courses from the menu. You will have access to information on registering through the University's online UIS system. Follow the instructions to register for courses.

Log in to Agora to search for courses and register.
