This Arabic/South Asian downtempo/trip hop mix is one of my favorites and a highlight of all my mixes. Finely tuned lounge mix that encapsulates the lounge sound I brought to clubs and chill rooms.

This dj mix takes you on a relaxing and contemplative journey through the sounds of the east. This mix is a favorite of listeners and has many of the classic ambient tunes I played in the chill rooms/areas.

In this dj mix we start off in the streets of Mumbai and slowly make our way to Morocco where we spend some time before taking a short train ride to Europe and returning back to the Middle East. This mix tries to bring you on an auditory tour of the arabic and South Asian diaspora.

The mix focuses on the South Asian inspired breakbeats.  This mix is more indicative of what I was spinning on the dance floors in the late 90 s and early 2000 s when breakbeats were dominating the underground scene.

This mix highlights traditional Indian instruments and vocals with drum and bass eventually transitioning to slower electronica highlighting indian female vocalists. This mix was made for my benefit and contains some of my favorite drum and bass tracks.

This mix encapsulates the distorted and abstract electronic sounds that incorporate traditional Arabic instrumentation. There are short news samples that include blurbs about uprising, suicide bombing, and terrorism. This is the sound of the intifada – a sonic journey into the dark psyche of Arabic electronica.

This dj mix is intended for bodywork, meditation, relaxation, ritual, and yoga. It combines elements of traditional Indian music with electronic ambient soundscapes. This dj mix was inspired to create a auditory space for introspection and spiritual awakening (although I listen during reading or writing).

Yoga practice is a form of ritual.  An intelligent yoga practice will furnish the nervous system with a host of new neuromuscular information. Shavasana gives the nervous system a chance to integrate that in what can be thought of as a brief pause before it is forced once again to deal with all the usual stresses of daily life. After so much time being bound to the actions of the body, the Yoga practitioner s awareness is hopefully turned inwards and purified of sensory distraction. Shavasana then becomes the beginning of deeper, meditative yogic practices. In state of sensory withdrawal it becomes easier to be aware of the breath and of the state of the mind itself.  This dj mix hopes to capture the essence of the most important pose in Yoga.
