#Full-Time MBA Curriculum

The Texas MBA curriculum is focused on providing a solid foundation of business fundamentals with added flexibility, allowing you to customize your degree plan earlier in your educational experience.

The core curriculum is comprised of a combination of two and three credit hour courses. Flexible core requirements in the areas of Analyzing the Business and Leading People, as well as requirements in the areas of Worldview of Business and Society, Responsibility and Integrity, and Work Experience allow you to customize your MBA program while beginning other electives in the spring of your first year.

The following information will give you a good idea of what to expect from your classes and also what our professors expect from you.

Core Courses

The core curriculum consists of eleven required classes taken during your first year of the program. In addition to the fundamental business knowledge garnered from the core classes, you will augment your leadership skills through a series of customizable courses emphasizing ethical leadership, global perspective and managerial proficiency.

Elective Courses

As you start to tailor your education to your specific goals, you have a wide variety of elective classes available to you. Using these elective options strategically, you may choose to focus your study through one of our academic concentrations. Unlike many programs, however, you are not required to choose a concentration.
