#Career Services Career ServicesThe Office of Career Services is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 to 5:00 p.m. We observe the calendar of the University of Chicago and are closed on school holidays. Occasionally, our hours vary to accommodate special programs (such as Fall On-Campus Interviewing), other Law School events (such as Works in Progress Luncheons), and staff in-service days. Any variation in hours will be posted on the door of the office and in the OCS Bulletin . Equal Employment Opportunity and Nondiscrimination Policy The University of Chicago Law School is committed to the principle of equal opportunity for all persons on the basis of individual merit and therefore does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national or ethnic origin, age, disability, or veteran status, and does not discriminate against members of protected classes under the law. The University of Chicago Law School requires all employers using the services and facilities of the Office of Career Services to comply with this policy; with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations; and with pertinent standards of the American Bar Association and the Association of American Law Schools. An exception to this policy is granted to the United States military. About OCSInformation about services offered and hours of operation. Symplicity for StudentsThe Office of Career Services relies heavily on the Internet to communicate and interact with its students and graduates. A good portion of our Web services are delivered securely and confidentially via https://law-uchicago-csm.symplicity.com/students/. a Web developer that has creatively adapted its e-Business Platform for the needs of our law students, graduates, and legal employers. Through Symplicity, students can participate in on-campus recruiting programs, search job postings, research employers, and network with fellow students and alumni. Employers, at no cost, can register for our recruiting programs, post jobs and maintain an information profile that can enlighten student career decisions. The student section of Symplicity can be accessed here . Judicial ClerkshipsA judicial clerkship offers a unique and challenging post-graduate opportunity to develop a relationship with a judge, to observe lawyers "in action", and to reflect on many of the novel legal issues of our time. 2L Summer Job SearchThe 2L summer job search is a complex process, so OCS has created this page to help you stay organized and strategized. The information found here will help you navigate the entire process: from researching firms and agencies, to updating your job search documents, to bidding for OCI, to what to do during callback season, and everything in between!
