#Law Firms - OCI Michigan Law has long enjoyed renown as a launching pad to the nation's premier private law firms; it is among the top law schools in placing the largest percentage of graduates in the most prestigious national law firms. More than 475 domestic and international law firms, including branch offices, hired our 2010-2014 graduates. More specifically, 277 went to New York City, 181 to Chicago, 101 to Washington, D.C. 20 to Boston, 44 to Los Angeles, and 67 to the California Bay Area. Resources for Researching Law Firms The list below includes links to some of our favorite resources for identifying and researching law firms. For advice on the law firm job application process and timeline, preparing your application materials, and networking, please visit our Student Career Toolkit in addition to the resources listed in the On-Campus Interviewing Section below. On-Campus Interviewing (OCI) During Early Interview Week (EIW) in August 2014, over 555 offices from 36 states, Washington, D.C. and five foreign countries conducted over 4,600 interviews with our students. Approximately 300 of our 2L and 3L students participated in this program. In addition to EIW, we offer a smaller on-campus program in the fall. Beyond on-campus interview opportunities, over 2,100 other offices from throughout the United States contacted the Law School last year to post job openings and to request student resumes. Nearly all of the American Lawyer Top 100 firms, the American Lawyer Global 100 firms, and the American Lawyer list of Best Places to Work firms visit the Law School or request resumes of Michigan Law students. Early Interview Week (EIW) 2015 is scheduled for Tuesday - Friday, Aug. 4 -7, in the Lawyers Club at the Law School. On-Campus Interviewing Procedures and Advice Number of interview slots/interview rooms as of 7/8/2015 Employer GPA Qualification Profiles These profiles track the cumulative GPA of those second- and third-year Michigan Law students who received an offer from a particular employer, dating back to interviews held in fall 2010, not just those students who have accepted their offers. The information dates back to interviews in fall 2010 through interviews held in fall 2014. By accessing this data, you agree to not disseminate it beyond the Michigan Law community.
