#Minor: Legal Studies - Northwestern University Useful DocumentsStudents petitioning to graduate with a minor in Legal Studies, or anyone wanting to track their progress, should complete the minor worksheet: The minor in Legal Studies exposes students to a range of course offerings in Legal Studies. Unlike the major, there is no application process to be a minor, nor is the Advanced Research Seminar required. In order to declare the minor, we ask that you have taken at least two courses in Legal Studies; if you were admitted to the University in Fall 2014 or later, one of these courses must be Legal_St 206 "Law in Society". Any of the courses included on the approved list of electives will satisfy the other course requirement. Legal Studies minors must satisfactorily complete eight courses from the approved list of Legal Studies electives *. At least four of the eight courses must be at the 300 level, and students are required to take one course from each of five categories of approved electives:
* Additional law-related courses approved in advance by the Director may be counted toward the eight required courses. Each quarter the Program will post a list of courses that meet area requirements.
