The Process

The IE Admissions Department makes a rigorous selection among the large number of candidates who apply: selecting dynamic, creative, high-potential profiles who stand out by their academic and professional achievements as well as interpersonal skills.

The admissions process starts when you submit your online application along with your supporting documents.

The application is your chance to make a good first impression, so show us what you will add to the IE community. Be sure to highlight relevant academic and professional achievements, and tell us why you re motivated to pursue the IE International MBA.

You may save your online application and work on it at your own pace, and you may submit it anytime. It will take roughly 3 weeks for the Admissions Committee to review your file and provide you with initial feedback.

You can attach all your supporting documents to your online application, including your entrance exam and language certificate results. Alternatively, you can also send them by email to imba.admissions@ie.edu at your earliest convenience. Supporting documents include:

Taking the GMAT? IE provides you with the opportunity of taking a GMAT practice exam even before signing up for it. In case you are not a native English or Spanish speaker and you do not meet the requirements for language exemption** you will need to present a language certificate not older than 2 years from the start of the program.

English language certificate we accept: TOEFL (100 minimum), IELTS (7.0 minimum), Cambridge Advanced (C1 minimum), and Pearson Academic (73 minimum)

Spanish language certificate we accept: DELE (C1 minimum), and Cámara de Comercio de Madrid

* A competency test will be compulsory during the admissions process or once on campus

**Exemptions apply when you have completed an entire Bachelor s Degree in English/Spanish, or demonstrated courses taught in English/Spanish and academic transcripts, or you have worked for a minimum of 2 continuous years in an English/Spanish-speaking country.
