The American Bar Association (ABA) sponsors the Legal Opportunity Scholarship Fund. The Scholarship Fund is intended to encourage racial and ethnic minority students to apply to law school and to provide financial assistance for the scholarship recipients.

The Scholarship Fund will award $5000 of financial assistance to each scholarship recipient attending an ABA-accredited law school. Awards are renewable for two additional years, potentially resulting in financial assistance totaling $15,000 during a recipient s time in law school.

A scholarship application may be downloaded from the ABA website at www.ambar.org/DiversityScholarship. Completed scholarship applications must be received no later than March 2, 2015, and should be submitted to the ABA.
