#Dr Simone Lamont-Black Lecturer in International Trade LawMonday, 4-5 pm BiographySimone Lamont-Black (n e Schnitzer) qualified as civil lawyer in Germany where she practised law as Rechtsanw ltin for several years and obtained her Doctorate in law from Augsburg University with summa cum laude before moving to England. There she worked for many years as lecturer at Northumbria University in Newcastle before joining Edinburgh Law School. She specialises and researches in the (private) law of international trade and carriage of goods and has a keen interest in international commercial dispute resolution, being also a CEDR Accredited Mediator, a Member of the Association of Arbitral Women and having acted as arbitrator at the Willem C. Vis and Vis (East)International Commercial Arbitration Moot Competition. She established the Edinburgh Willem Vis Moot Team and Moot Module and the annual Edinburgh Willem Vis Pre-Moot. PhD applications are particularly welcome in the area of international carriage of goods and transport law.
