#Arizona Administrative Code The Arizona Administrative Code is where the official rules of the state of Arizona are published. Rules are adopted by state agencies, boards or commissions, with specific rulemaking authority from the State Legislature. Rule sections are published in Titles and Chapters. We no longer offer html as a viewing alternative as the conversion has proved to be unreliable, especially with the increased use of appendices, tables and graphics in rules. Rule Interpretation The Office of the Secretary of State does not interpret or enforce rules in the Administrative Code. Questions should be directed to the state agency responsible for the promulgation of the rule as provided in the chapter headings. Official vs. Online The paper Code is the official compilation of rules that govern state agencies, boards, and commissions. The online version is FREE. Purchasing Paper Copies CHAPTERS. Agency Rulewriters As a liaison to your agency you are responsible for the proofreading and accuracy of the rules BEFORE they are filed with our office and submitted for publication. Rulewriters also need to assure the accuracy of the paper filing and the electronic filing used for publishing the rules in the Administrative Code. As the publisher, the SOS does not make any representations as to the sufficiency or accuracy of the paper filings and the submitted electronic filing. Arizona Administrative Procedure Act (APA) The Arizona Administrative Procedure Act, or APA, are the laws that govern promulgation of state agency rules.
