UConn School of Law, the Ballard Institute, Hartford Public High, and Bulkeley Public High School recently teamed up for a new project: a toy theater workshop. Ten high school students and seven law school students participated in the workshop, which took place on Friday, March 27, in the Law Library. Read more »

Eight UConn Law students have envisioned a future for the city of Hartford with “green roofs,” plentiful parking for bicycles, carefully regulated solar and wind power installations, and mediation to settle disagreements over proposed developments.

The students, enrolled in a UConn Law School Zoning Practicum course, didn't just imagine those changes: they drafted proposed zoning regulations.  Read More »

Members of the law school community joined together in a Walk to End Alzheimer’s on Sunday, September 21, 2014 in Hartford’s Bushnell Park. “Team Susan,” formed by members of the law school library and other UConn School of Law staff and faculty, raised over $2,400 towards the cause in the two-mile walk. Donations for the walk are still being accepted. UConn Law’s South Asian Law Students Association (SALSA) has teamed up with the South Asian Bar Association of Connecticut (SABAC ) and South Asian Americans Leading Together (SAALT) to help set up a library for residents of My Sister’s Place, a Hartford-based transitional housing program.  In addition to setting up the library, the groups will also be collecting donations of lightly used adult and children’s books. read more »
