Dr. Michio Kaku is a celebrated futurist and Theoretical Physicist who once built a particle accelerator in his mum s garage.

Inspired by the death of Einstein when Kaku was only 8, his goal has been to complete Einstein s dream of a theory of everything a single equation which will unify all the fundamental forces in the universe. As a teenager he went to the National Science Fair in high school with a home-made atom smasher built in his parents garage.

Since then he has founded a branch of string theory and developed a reputation as one of the world’s leading theoretical physicists but it is his work as a popular scientist that has taken the world by storm.

His books have captured the public imagination, conjuring up an exciting world of revolutionary science and magical technology. His best sellers include Hyperspace, Visions: How Science Will Revolutionize the 21st Century, Parallel Worlds, Physics of the Impossible and Physics of the Future 2011.
