#Legal Advice Centre

Established in 2000, the Legal Advice Centre (LAC) offers reliable legal advice whilst providing practical experience for our law students, supervised by legal practitioners. It is managed by our Director, Mrs Dinah Crystal OBE (Solicitor), and Deputy Director, Mr Neil Allen (Barrister), with the support of local lawyers and academic staff.

The Centre provides free, strictly confidential legal advice to members of the public (including University staff and students).

In October 2009 our second Legal Advice Centre was launched in The Settlement in East Manchester by Michael Mansfield, one of the UK's most well known lawyers.

A unique learning experience

As an undergraduate student at Manchester's School of Law you will benefit from unrivalled opportunities to gain insights into the legal profession, whilst helping members of the public with real life legal issues.

Regular clinics are held on the following topics:
