UCLA School of Law receives notices and information about various scholarships, fellowships and writing competitions sponsored by other law schools, universities, foundations, alumni associations, bar associations, etc. The Financial Aid Office will post applicable notices on this page as received.

BOND BOTES FINANCIAL HARDSHIP SCHOLARSHIP 2015

This $2,000 scholarship is open to any U.S. citizen attending the first year of law school this fall, with an undergraduate cumulative GPA at or above 3.0. Applicants are asked to submit a short essay describing how they have overcome financial difficulties in their lives. The scholarship will be awarded in mid-August, with payment made directly to the student s school, to be applied to tuition.

GEORGE HOPPER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

The Fresno County Young Lawyers Association ( FCYLA ) is now accepting applications for this $1,000 scholarship. This award is intended for currently enrolled as a second or third year law student, in good standing and who have a demonstrated connection to the San Joaquin Valley, as well as a desire to practice law in Fresno, Madera, Merced, Kings, or Tulare County.

The Tiftickjian Law Firm, P.C. is offering the Juvenile Justice Scholarship in the amount of $1,000. This scholarship is intended to encourage and assist students with attending law school with an interest in juvenile justice, as well as raise awareness of the issue of prison sentences and reduced rights for minors that place youths on an institutionalized path towards spending a large part of their life in the criminal justice system.

This scholarship is awarded to current or incoming law students based on need and commitment to helping others. One student will receive a $3,000 scholarship. The Rodriguez Law Group, A Criminal Defense Law Firm in Los Angeles, CA, is offering a $3,500 scholarship to one law student throughout the United States. The scholarship will be based on an essay and can be done on any topic. The range can be from 500-1250 words, anything over 1250 words will not be read.
