#Graduate Programs

Welcome to Graduate Legal Studies at Georgetown Law, where students have an unparalleled opportunity to broaden and deepen their understanding of law through advanced study. Our extraordinary faculty combines leading scholars with sophisticated practitioners, nationally important judges, and key government officials. In this environment, American and international lawyers gather to challenge themselves to reach the next level of legal education through LL.M. S.J.D. and certificate programs.

All together, Georgetown offers more than 350 classes and seminars - including 140 classes and 90 seminars specifically for graduate students.

In Memoriam

Georgetown University Law Center mourns the loss of adjunct professor, Leonard "Len" Terr, who died Tuesday, June 2, 2015.

"Len was an extraordinary member of our adjunct faculty, and a tremendous asset to our graduate tax program, "said Georgetown Law Associate Dean for Graduate Programs Nan Hunter. "He was wonderful member of the Georgetown community, and cared deeply about each of his students."

Terr was recently selected as a recipient of the Law Center's Charles Fahy Distinguished Adjunct Professor Award for professors who have provided exceptional service to Georgetown in teaching, curriculum development, student counseling, and involvement in extra-curricular Georgetown activities. He is survived by his wife Linda, children Jessica, Jeremy, Amanda, and Ashley, and grandsons Evan and Nate.
