MBA Healthcare Management Jobs | eHow

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) reports that medical and health services manager careers have a positive job outlook in the coming years. Because managing health services requires project management and management skills, a MBA is usually needed for these positions. The BLS describes health care practice managers as someone who will "plan, direct, coordinate and supervise the delivery of health care." Some job duties may include overseeing patient records, establishing and applying hospital policies, deliver reports, plan budgets or prepare business strategies.

A career in hospital administration offers an assortment of jobs, but most focus on running a hospital's finances, personnel and quality assurance efforts. Depending on the size and location of the hospital, daily tasks can range from directing medical activities to instituting daily procedures. Typically, hospital administrators report to a board of directors or a chief financial officer. Smaller medical offices may hire administrators to oversee business operations so they can focus on treating patients.
