Environmental law requires skill in research and analysis. In this position, you review environmental regulations on a daily basis. You must analyze statutes such as the Clean Air Act and the Endangered Species Act. Communication skills are necessary to share your findings with supervisors and other workers within the organization. If working within a government setting, you may also draft laws or make changes to existing ones. You don't have to be an expert, but most environmental issues require a general understanding of science or technology.
Various nongovernmental agencies also work to protect the environment. Some, like the Sierra Club, are nonprofits that hire environmental lawyers to review government regulations and investigate offending businesses. These positions offer an opportunity to address specific environmental problems on behalf of individuals who may not otherwise have a voice. Private businesses, like energy and manufacturing corporations, also employ env

#Is studying an MBA a good investment?
It's hard work, expensive and it can deal a hammer blow to the toughest of management egos, but the master of business administration (MBA) continues to be one of the UK's most popular postgraduate programmes.
More than 8,000 new students enrolled at business schools in 2011 for courses accredited by the Association of MBAs. But if you are thinking of joining them in 2013, where should you start? Over the next few days, this series will guide you through the basics of MBAs. looking at the different courses on offer, how to apply, the cost and job prospects once you have graduated.
Fees at the top end are 57,500 for a two-year full-time MBA at the London Business School, or 33,000 for a two-year part-time executive MBA at the Cranfield School of Management in Bedford.
So the question has to be asked: is there a return on investment? Quantifying an MBA's value is an inexact science but the Alumni Perspectives Survey of 4,

#Is an MBA Still Necessary?
Current Issue
This story first appeared in the October 2012 issue of Entrepreneur . To receive the magazine, click here to subscribe.
It used to be that top corporations picked up MBA graduates as fast as schools could slap mortarboards on their heads. These young guns drove corporate reorganization, product innovation and marketing and implemented new styles of leadership. They were a symbol of a new culture, and anyone serious about a career in business aspired to earn those three letters.
Today, the power of the MBA is not so certain. Many in corporate America and academia say the degree that once defined bright, snappy leadership now symbolizes a discipline that has lost touch with the business world. They argue that MBA programs have become too focused on research, and that in-house training at large firms has more practical applications. They claim the programs have failed to create the types of leaders who can de

#Issues and Laws Surrounding Child Custody
Talk to a Local Child Custody and Visitation Attorney
Most people probably associate child custody with divorce actions. but child custody issues are also common in actions involving paternity, guardianship, termination of parental rights and juvenile delinquency. Child custody not only involves the physical custody and control of your child, but the parental rights, privileges, duties and powers connected to child rearing.
The best interests of the child is the universal standard used in determining child custody issues. How child custody issues are treated by the courts today reflects changes in the decisions issued by the courts, states statutes, society and psychological research findings.

#Islamic law is adopted by British legal chiefs
Solicitors told how to draw up Sharia-style wills penalising widows and non-believers
Islamic law is to be effectively enshrined in the British legal system for the first time under guidelines for solicitors on drawing up Sharia compliant wills.
Under ground-breaking guidance, produced by The Law Society, High Street solicitors will be able to write Islamic wills that deny women an equal share of inheritances and exclude unbelievers altogether.
The documents, which would be recognised by Britain s courts, will also prevent children born out of wedlock and even those who have been adopted from being counted as legitimate heirs.
Anyone married in a church, or in a civil ceremony, could be excluded from succession under Sharia principles, which recognise only Muslim weddings for inheritance purposes.
Nicholas Fluck, president of The Law Society, said the guidance would promote good practice in ap

#Islamic Law Definition
The law according to the Muslim faith and as interpreted from the Koran.
The law according to the Muslim faith and as interpreted from the Koran ; also known as Sharia law .
Sometimes referred to as Muslim law or even Muhammadan law.
Some Islamic law jurists make a distinction between sharia law and fiqh and conclude that Islamic law includes, inter alia. sharia law first, given its divine origin; and fiqh second, as a body of law which interprets sharia.
Schacht writes:
"The sacred law of Islam is an all-embracing body of religious duties, the totality of Allah's commands that regulate the life of every Muslim in all its aspects."
Islamic law is probably best known for deterrent punishment which is the basis of the Islamic criminal system, and the discrimination against women.
Another important feature of Muslim law is the fact that there is no clear separation of church and state. Under Islam

International law contains a system of rules referred to as the "laws of war." These rules establish the red lines that a combatant or occupying state may not cross. Among the instruments in which the rules are stated are the Hague Convention of 1907 and its regulations, and the four Geneva Conventions of 1949.
The principal concept of the Humanitarian Law is that, even in wartime, all acts are not allowed. Humanitarian law does not deal with the question of whether the war is justified, but with the means used during the conflict. For example, the rules limit the parties in order to minimize the harm to non-combatants, such as prisoners of war, the wounded, and civilians. In addition, humanitarian law contains provisions restricting the arms that may be used during the conflict.
The Hague Regulations. which establish the laws for conducting war on land, are considered part of international customary law. The Regulations state the rights and duties of the combatants,

In most states, child custody laws provide that mothers who are not married have complete control, care and custody of their children. Oklahoma is one of those states. Child custody laws in Oklahoma are governed by Title 10 of the state's code.
According to Title 10, Sections 104 and 106, of the Oklahoma Code, the birth mother of a child born out of wedlock has full legal custody of her child and has the right to care for her child as she sees fit. The unmarried mother is in full control of the child, including the support, education and residence of the child, unless it becomes necessary for a court of law to step in. If the mother is unable to fully support the child, the other parent must assist to the extent of his ability.
If a mother can not financially provide for her child, the other parent can provide support, and the mother does not have to compensate him for voluntarily supporting the child, unless there is an agreement to do so. A third party may also sup

Note: Because no particular course of study is required to go to law school, undergraduate students will choose a major and receive guidance on the specific requirements for their particular major from a departmental advisor.
Law schools in the United States require a bachelor’s degree by the starting date of law study. They neither prescribe a particular course of undergraduate study nor favor applicants who have graduated from a formal pre-law program.
Students interested in attending law school should choose their majors based on their own personal and academic interests and abilities. Definition
A contract in which one party agrees to indemnify another against a predefined category of risks in exchange for a premium. Depending on the contract, the insurer may promise to financially protect the insured from the loss, damage, or liability stemming from some event. An insurance contract will almost always limit the amount of monetary protection possible.
Overview
In the absence of insurance, three possible individuals bear the burden of an economic loss; the individual suffering the loss; the individual causing the loss via negligence or unlawful conduct; or lastly, a particular party who has been allocated the burden by the legislature, such as employers under Workmen's Compensation statutes.
While types of insurance vary widely, their primary goal is to allocate the risks of a loss from the individual to a great number of people. Each individual pays a "premium" into a pool, from which losses are paid out. Regardless of whether

The law of one price is a theory in economics that identical goods should be priced the same, after accounting for the exchange rate, in different countries as long as the market is efficient. When the prices differ and people take advantage of arbitrage opportunities, their actions push the prices to converge, balancing them out in the end. Radically differing prices are an indicator of market inefficiency or peculiar circumstances.
According to the law of one price, buyers will seek out the lowest price, while sellers look for the highest price, and because the two must meet in the middle, prices, especially on financial markets, should be similar. Stocks trading in one market should trade for a similar price in another market, for example. If people are aware of different prices in another market, they will gravitate towards the prices most favorable to their interests. This changes the supply or demand in a market, thus leading to an adjustment in price.

#Judge Upholds Law Allowing Michigan Commission To Permit Wolf Hunting - CBS Detroit
MARQUETTE (AP) The Michigan Court of Claims has upheld a law empowering an appointed panel to allow hunting of wolves.
The state Legislature approved the Scientific Fish and Wildlife Conservation Act last August. It gave the Michigan Natural Resources Commission the authority to classify animals as game species. The commission already had given wolves that designation, which led to the state s first authorized wolf hunt in 2013.
The law nullified two citizen votes last fall that would have prevented wolf hunts. A group called Keep Michigan Wolves Protected filed suit, saying the law violated the Michigan Constitution.
In a ruling issued Friday, Court of Claims Judge Mark T. Boonstra disagreed, writing that the group s suit fails to state a claim upon which relief may be granted. He said the court was not taking a position on whether wolves should be hunted

Under current UK law you can live with someone in a number of legally recognised ways that include:
- Civil Marriage
- Civil partnership
- Co-habitation
In each of these types of relationship you must be fully aware of the law if you want to separate from your partner. Separation law is slightly different depending on the type of relationship you have. For instance, civil marriages are legally binding. Separation law states that your marriage is dissolved if you separate from your partner for more than five years. If you want to legally separate earlier, you must follow divorce proceedings.
The Civil Partnership Act 2004 is now law. It allows same-sex couples to get legal recognition of their relationship. If you are in this type of relationship, you are called a civil partner , and this is recognised under UK law. Separation law with civil partnerships is similar to civil marriage.
