Sharia law is the law of Islam. The Sharia (also spelled Sharia h or Shari a) law is cast from the actions and words of Muhammad. which are called Sunnah , and the Quran. which he authored.
The Sharia law itself cannot be altered, but the interpretation of the Sharia law, called figh , by imams is given some leeway.
As a legal system, the Sharia law covers a very wide range of topics. While other legal codes deal primarily with public behavior, Sharia law covers public behavior, private behavior and private beliefs. Of all legal systems in the world today, Islam s Sharia law is the most intrusive and strict, especially against women.
According to the Sharia law:
• Theft is punishable by amputation of the right hand (above).
• Criticizing or denying any part of the Quran is punishable by death.
• Criticizing or denying Muhammad is a prophet is punishable by death.
• Criticizing or denying Allah, the moon god of Islam is punishab

Because of perceived abuse by Korean conglomerates of subcontractors, the Korean Fair Transactions in Subcontracting Act was passed in March of . The Act was effective since the beginning of July of .
The Act, in short, grants wide discretion to the Korea Federation of Small and Medium Businesses. This agency is now authorized to request adjustments to Korean subcontractors contractually obligated delivery prices and additionally may impose treble damages for certain violations of this Act, including for the act of misappropriation of the technology of subcontractors.
The Act also reverses the burden of proof in many instances, while requiring conglomerates to make technical requests in writing and to conduct formal subcontractor practice surveys.
The treble damages component of this Act is very rare in Korea. Punitive damages are only available in the most rare of cases and only if authorized by statute.

Portland Oregon is a bit stricter than some other states when it comes to automotive window tint. You are not allowed to tint your vehicle darker than the legal limit and Oregon State law requires that all tinted cars carry a Tint certificate declaring what percentage of light is passing through the glass and film. They refer to this number as the Visible Light Transmittance or VLT%.
If a motorist is pulled over for tinted windows they are required to provide a certificate proving the car was tinted within legal limits. The law requires that the meter reading be 35% or higher for all windows on a car. Many law enforcement officers carry a meter and will perform a test prior to writing a ticket. If your VLT is lower than 35% be prepared for a hefty fine! The picture above is an example of tint percentages. As you can see the lower the % the darker the tint. If the tint is to dark on a car that would not pass the meter test and a ticket for illegal window tint would be issued.

Under Florida law, all counties and cities have the power to enact curfew regulations on minors or any person under the age of 16. According to the Florida Legislature, the primary reason for enacting a curfew law was to encourage the safety of minors, decrease their victimization, and reduce crime and violence committed by minors.
In addition to granting local adoption of curfew laws, the Florida Legislature also provided a model version of a curfew law. Under Florida law, counties and cities may adopt the model law in its entirety, or they may adopt one of their own choosing that may be more or less restrictive than the model curfew law proposed by the Legislature. However, if a county or city decides to enact their own curfew law, it must, at a minimum, be constitutional. Several cities, including Tampa and Pinellas Park, have had their curfew laws declared unconstitutional by the Florida Supreme Court.

In this Essay, the role of social media in progressive political change is examined in the context of the Arab Spring uprisings. The concept of social media is explained, and Clay Shirky’s arguments for and Malcolm Gladwell’s arguments against the importance of social media in revolutions are analyzed. An account of the Arab Spring (to date) is then given, including the apparent role of social media. Evgeny Morozov’s arguments are then outlined, including his contentions that social media and the Internet can be tools of oppression rather than emancipation, and spreaders of hate and propaganda rather than.

You don t have to pay a lawyer.

Howard E. Deutch, Esq. Member of the Bars of Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, District of Columbia and the United States Supreme Court
My name is Howard Deutch. I’ve been practicing law since 1973. During that time I have written a lot of legal forms. In fact, over those years I have created and/or stolen 587 of the best contracts, leases, Wills, assignments, guarantees, etc. anywhere. I m getting up in years now (see my picture for proof). So I decided it was time I make these forms available to anyone who has a need for them.
There are plenty of forms on the internet. Some are good and some are worse than useless. Some cost money and some are free. And that’s the problem. How do you know which form you should use? Which can you trust?
I can’t vouch for any of the other forms on the internet. As I said before, s

International Law: an Overview
Traditionally, international law consisted of rules and principles governing the relations and dealings of nations with each other, though recently, the scope of international law has been redefined to include relations between states and individuals, and relations between international organizations. Public_international_law. concerns itself only with questions of rights between several nations or nations and the citizens or subjects of other nations. In contrast, Private_international_law deals with controversies between private persons, natural or juridical, arising out of situations having significant relationship to more than one nation. In recent years the line between public and private international law have became increasingly uncertain. Issues of private international law may also implicate issues of public international law, and many matters of private international law have substantial significance for the inte

#Poll: Support for Gay Marriage Has Fallen After Obergefell
According to a recent AP-GFK poll. support for gay marriage among U.S. citizens has dropped six percentage points since their last poll in April, with more Americans disapproving of the Supreme Court ruling making gay marriage the law of the land than those approving it.
Rather than galvanizing Americans into a unified body, the Obergefell decision has left U.S. citizens more divided than ever on the question of gay marriage, after the court itself showed a deep divide on the issue. In an unprecedented move, the four opposing justices each published an independent dissent. leaving a mine of legal reasoning contrary to the majority opinion.
The AP poll reveals that 42% of Americans favor legal gay marriage, while a similar poll carried out last April showed 48% in favor. Moreover, in conflicts between the interests of same-sex couples and those of religious liberty, a majority of Americans (56%) believe th

A surviving spouse will automatically inherit any property that she and the decedent owned jointly with a right of survivorship. This will include the marital residence and any other real estate purchased during the marriage, as well as any joint bank accounts. The spouse will inherit a one-half interest in any community property. That is any property acquired during the marriage without a right of survivorship, such as an automobile.
In Tennessee, a spouse may intentionally disinherit his spouse. She will still be entitled to her share of joint or community property, but if she is left out of the decedent's will, she will not be entitled to anything else. However, the omission must be intentional and must be made clear in the will or by other evidence. For example, if a decedent's will contains a statement to the effect of: "I bequeath only $1.00 to my wife for reasons known to both of us," that language clearly establishes an intent to disinherit. However, if there is no s

#Internet privacy: how Australia s new laws will work
New privacy laws will come into operation in Australia in March this year. The amendments to the Privacy Act will introduce a new and harmonised set of privacy principles. While there is still plenty of room for improvement, the new laws make some important steps in protecting privacy, particularly with the collection of data online.
The new reforms apply to all bodies that collect or store personal information about Australians. They don’t operate in a vacuum; there is a broad (if somewhat patchwork) frame of privacy laws across the globe, and the way that they interact with some of these different laws will be interesting to follow in coming years. Here’s a guide to some of the changes and some comments from Australia’s information commissioner, Professor John McMillan, on the changes.

Employment contract law is the body of law related to agreements made between employers and employees. Written, oral, or implied contracts often give rise to disputes in an employment relationship, and in some cases the end result is wrongful termination. There are several types of employment contracts, including non-compete agreements, waiver of rights agreements, and severance agreements. An at-will employee is a worker who is offered no employee contract who or is offered a contract but can be terminated at any time. Employment workplace issues pertaining to at-will employees or employees under long-term contracts are often beyond the scope of employment contract law.
Employees often hire attorneys to review a contract of employment to avoid legal pitfalls and to ensure that their rights are protected and that the contracts are in their best interests.
