Experience the “global connect” of business

Study Trips Abroad

During the course of the Global MBA, students have the opportunity to spend nearly three months outside of France. This international experience takes place in three segments, detailed below. In addition to these planned trips, students have the option to pursue international exchange programs with Mannheim Business School as well as our other partner schools around the globe, to the extent to which these exchanges fit with the academic calendar.

The Global MBA students spend six weeks of their second term at ESSEC’s campus in Singapore. The economic vibrancy of the city-state and its unique role as the geographical, commercial, financial, and cultural crossroads between East and West make it the ideal location for ESSEC. Students take courses specifically related to doing business in Asia, have opportunities to interact with companies based in Singapore. and receive career coaching tailored to Asian markets.

During the third term, the Global MBA students take a week-long field trip to an emerging market, the location of which changes year to year. This field trip is a chance to explore a different culture and discover how business is conducted in a different part of the world. As such, the trip is a mix of cultural and professional activities. Students will have a chance to explore in addition to completing a research-type project, visiting companies, and meeting local ESSEC alumni

The IIP is the culminating event of the Global MBA, a team consulting project centered on a 4-5 week immersion in an emerging market. Details on the International Immersion Project can be found by clicking on the link to the right.
