ALU is an online law school in Los Angeles, California that provides other undergraduate and graduate program options. I was specifically interested in the Juris Doctorate degree because I needed to know more about the law in my particular line of work, real estate. I looked into other online law schools, but the reasons I chose ALU was because of the affordability, GBX passage rates, and caliber of faculty and student body. Many if not all students are professional working individuals. When working in groups I love the fact that students of different experiences and professions surround me. It makes learning that much more educational, especially when hearing of how the law is applied in their professions.

The only downfall is that students have to take the FYLSX, but that is required of any online law school. The positive side of this is that I passed my first time and am pretty sure I will pass the general bar my first time not only because of my strong education at ALU, but also because I am confident in contracts, torts, and criminal law (subjects on the FYLSX, which is about 1/3 of the GBX).

If you are looking for an affordable law school with pretty decent to high FYLSX and GBX passing rates, ALU is one you should definitely consider.
